Derek holds Diploma’s in Counselling Skills and Advanced Counselling Skills, Counselling is also embedded in his other Diploma’s he holds in Life coaching, CBT mindfulness, Hypnotherapy and has attended various workshops about counselling.
He is trained to deal with additive behaviours, change management, relationship counselling, family counselling and works with other agencies.
Reiki Spiritual Healing.
Derek is a fully trained and an award ... wining Reiki healer but has had training from various mediums, spiritual centres and other holistic healers.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.” A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Many have reported miraculous results.
Derek runs courses as well as doing Reiki he is a Reiki Master.
Past life regression
People come for Past Life Regression for many different reasons. The main ones are:
THERAPY – Our character today represents a culmination of all the experiences we have had over numerous lifetimes. These past life events affect many aspects of our behaviour, and in some cases, past deeply emotional traumas can cause psychological problems which cannot be cured with ordinary psychotherapy. Past life therapy can release these repressed thoughts and bring about a beneficial change.
UNDERSTANDING – Exploring your past lives offers a whole new dimension to the understanding of your own character. You suddenly realise for the first time why you are drawn to certain places or have a particular interest in something.
INTEREST – Many enjoy the experience of tracing their past lives purely from the point of curiosity. Certain past existences in particular can be pieced together with great detail, producing names, dates and places. Many of these details have been researched and authenticated, resulting in some fascinating literature on the subject.
RELATIONSHIPS – Quite often, groups of interacting souls reincarnate together and take on the roles of relations, friends or even rivals. Many believe this happens to balance the laws of karma – the harmony or disharmony caused by people’s behaviour towards each other. Mediumship and Psychic Readings
There is often some confusion between what a medium is and what a psychic is. The basic difference is that a psychic reads from your personal energy/aura and will tell you about you. Derek, as well as being very intuitive, is a very skilled Aura reader and often see colours around people.
A medium connects on a higher level with the world of spirit and connects with your loved ones, family and friends who have passed on to the spirit world. Fortune telling is the most known application of the Tarot. However, you have to bear in mind that the Tarot does not unravel a rigid or predetermined Future; you can take your destiny in your hands and use your free will. The Future interpreted during a reading is given as a possibility rather than a certainty. In other words you are the boss and no one else can live your life for you! Another less obvious application of the Tarot is to help you to see problems from other angles and to give you freedom of choice and possible solutions rather than feeling stuck in a situation with no choice or hope.
In that respect, Tarot reading can be used to great effect to ease concerns and anxiety when it seems that nothing can be done. By analysing the events of the past which have lead to the present situation, better understanding of the roots of a problem can be made and therefore a clearer direction can be undertaken, leading to a more confident and fulfilling life and future. Having come from the catering trade and hospitality, at a very young age I was in the public eye, I was also a great public speaker for the trade union movement offshore, and often spoke at conferences, chaired meetings, and appeared on TV.
