Biography

Guillaume “Will” Lafond
It is at the age of 9 that Guillaume got his first guitar lesson. Music quickly became an important part of his life as he began playing with bands and composing his own songs. Growing up in a rich cultural environment he knew by the time he was 15 that music would be the center of his life and set on a course to develop his talent and creativity.
In 2012, he started Music and Song studies at the CEGEP de Drummondville and quickly took his place among the talented musicians in the program. During this apprenticeship, he accompanied many artists and multipl ... ied the musical projects both academically and personally. Over the years “Will” developed a strong interest towards country music and in 2013 he was the lead guitarist of the “Long Horn Band”. They gave several shows in bars and were the house band of the Saint-Rémi’s Country Festival where they worked onstage with over 20 different artists. A versatile musician, he studied many styles of music to add to his knowledge and virtuosity. As a result, between 2012 and 2015, Will was the lead guitarist for the female singers of the CEGEP. Very professional and energetic, Will played in many private parties.
In October 2014, he was the guitarist for the contest “Fais-moi ta toune” at “Festival des Gourmands d’Asbestos” and in February 2105 was chosen to play the guitar at the opening ceremonies of Quebec 2015 Winter Games.

Catherine “Kate” Bessette
Passionate for music for as long as she can remember, Kate followed singing lessons for eight years. As a complement, she also took interpretation classes and currently attends guitar lessons. She is now a singing teacher at “Complexe Musical 132”.
At age 12, she auditioned successfully for the role of “Anouchka de la Pétarade”, the main character of a children novel musical. The show went around the province of Quebec in several towns and recorded three albums. In June 2007, she won the contest “Jeunes Espoirs Enfant Soleil” in the “Opération Enfant Soleil” Telethon broadcast on the TVA network. In September 2007, she performed at the Théâtre St-Denis 1 for the Gala Revelations.
She competed in many singing contests and won several, including the “Festival de la chanson et de l’humour de Dégelis” and twice the “Découvertes de la chanson de Magog”. In June 2009, Kate was a guest artist at the Quebec National Day Ceremony at Mercier to sing in front of more than 2,000 spectators. In 2012, she won the “Festival Expo-Relève” of Saint-Constant and is, since 2013, the official singer of the Canadian National Anthem for the Midget AAA hockey team of Châteauguay. In 2013, she also made the finals in the prestigious competition “Ma première Place des Arts” and was part of the 2015 edition of this event. In June 2014 she was also invited to the “Festival Country de Saint-Rémi” on the same program as “Jonas and the Massive Attraction”
