Biography

Lara is a classically trained acoustic and LED electric violinist in high demand in the UK. She studied at Paul McCartney’s school ‘The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts’. She has worked with artists including; Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Clean Bandit, Rudimental, Olly Murs, The Wombats, Sweet Female Attitude, Circa Waves, Ray Quinn, Clare Teal, Gregory Porter, China Crisis, ZUZU, BC Camplight, Kay Young & many more, in studios and venues from Abbey Road Studios, to Caribbean Cruise Ships, to BBC Television Studios.
Lara has appeared as a backing violinist on BBC1 show ‘I Can See Yo ... ur Voice’. She has freelanced with ensembles including; Symphonic Ibiza, Storm Strings, Gatecrasher Orchestra, Garage Classical, Ignition Orchestra, The ELO Show, Ian Prowse & Amsterdam, Incredible 11 Hip Hop Orchestra, The Gatsby Band, Northern Session Collective, String Infusion, Bollywood Strings and many more.
In terms of musical theatre productions, Lara has performed in shows including; Keep The Change (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), The Last 5 years (Epstein Theatre), Brothers Beyond by Tread Productions (Epstein Theatre) & The Silence Between Us (Unity Theatre).

Lara played at my wedding ceremony and was absolutely fantastic. She was more than happy to learn a few of my favourite songs that weren’t on her playlist and her communication before the event was always helpful, friendly and professional. On the day, she surpassed our expectations – I’ve had so many guests comment on how beautifully she played and one of my favourite moments of my whole wedding is walking down the aisle whilst she played ‘Halo’ by Beyonce. Now I just need another big event so I have an excuse to book them again! Highly, highly recommended

We were absolutely thrilled to have Lara at our wedding. She was very friendly and professional since our first contact and any requests were handled in such a personal and calming manner. We asked for a specific song to be played at the start of the ceremony and it was outstanding. Not only did it make the atmosphere in the ceremony very emotional and romantic, but whole party were coming up to us to say how much they loved it and a few days later we are still getting from guests saying that it was one of the biggest highlights of the day. We requested both classical and modern pieces and it just set the tone each time, relaxed yet a wonderful feeling that got all the guests enjoying the day. We would not hesitate to recommend her, she simply made it a wonderful day. Many thanks once again for making our day one to treasure
