I perform an authentic tribute to Billy Connolly using classic and much-loved routines and original material written and performed in the style of the man himself. The show can be adapted to the client's needs and, as I have a full PA system with lights, music can be provided before/after the show and during the interval.

Biography

I started performing my Billy Connolly act in the early nineties (I had a full head of hair then!). After three years' performing in the clubs and pubs of England, I took a break to fall in love and start a family (ahh!). For the following 15 years, I performed successfully as a solo singer across the country before making the decision to resurrect my Billy Connolly act. Unfortunately, the one thing I couldn't resurrect was my hairline hence the name Baldy Connolly!

Meet the Act

I first started impersonating Billy Connolly when I was a teenager. The eternal "class clown" I'd learned that being funny at school was an effective way to avoid being bullied, although it didn't endear me to the teachers! My first gig as a tribute act to The Big Yin was in 1994, supporting a local punk band - a unique experience - and for three years I played the pubs and comedy clubs. I then moved on from comedy into acting before finally settling on a singing career. I resurrected the Connolly act in 2019 and haven't looked back since!
