Beth can provide violin and fiddle performance on acoustic or electric violin with backing tracks, with an ensemble, or solo acoustic. She has experience performing pop, rock, country, southern rock, classic rock, hip hop, classical, Bluegrass, Irish fiddle, Old Time fiddle, Texas style fiddle, ragtime, and folk music. She works frequently for both traditional and contemporary religious organizations. She is concertmaster of a symphony orchestra. Beth is happy to accommodate specific song requests for events and to adapt any music to the violin.

Biography

Violinist Beth Youngblood has established herself as an engaging international performer equally comfortable playing rock, pop, classical, country, Bluegrass, Celtic, and Old-Time fiddle music. Beth is a two-time Arizona State fiddle champion and an Arizona State Twin Fiddle champion. In addition to her varied solo engagements, Beth is Concertmaster of the Symphony of the Southwest, and performs as a member of string ensembles Urban Electra and The Covergirls Violin Show. Beth has performed with a range of artists including Kygo, Sarah Brightman, the Transiberian Orchestra, Mannheim Steamroll ... er, the Phoenix Symphony, the Tucson Symphony, Traveler, Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenowith, Joshua Bell, and Itzhak Perlman.
Beth grew up in rural Oregon and began taking violin and fiddle lessons when she was six years old. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, where she studied with Charles Gray. During her time at St. Olaf she played in the annual “Christmas at St. Olaf” production, broadcast yearly on PBS. Beth earned a Masters of Music degree from Arizona State University under violin Professor Danwen Jiang. In 2016, she completed a Doctorate in Musical Arts at ASU. Her dissertation research focused on the groundbreaking stylistic elements of The Fiddle Concerto, a three-movement piece for solo fiddle and orchestra by renowned fiddler/composer Mark O’Connor.
