Whatever’s going on in the world, your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life and we think it should sparkle and be full magic.

It can be hard to plan a wedding with the changing rules on social distancing, but whether you can invite 6 people or 60 there are some wonderful ways to make sure your day is one that’s full of memories and magic as well as overflowing with love.

We have creative ideas to help you before your wedding, and on the day, so read on and get planning…

Before the Wedding

1.) Your Socially Distanced Hen Party

Hen parties are a pretty big challenge when there are restrictions in many areas on how many people can socialize, as well as potential curfews.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t have an evening to remember. Whether you’re able to have a few people over, or book a private room at a restaurant, or even if you are restricted to having a zoom party, you can still book entertainment to make everyone smile.

Why not book a tarot card reader for a virtual consultation to read your future, or perhaps a comedian, caricaturist or even a singing Elvis or Michael Buble. If you’re looking for something more active, many of our Dance acts are now offering online dance skills sessions, so you and your friends can learn some fancy flamenco footwork or even how to Belly Dance. Just fill out our form and we’ll find your perfect virtual entertainment for you!

2.) Planning Your Wedding Hair & Make-up

When it comes to keeping social contact to a minimum, another aspect of wedding planning that can be challenging is arranging your Wedding Hair & Make-up. With restrictions on the number of people you can come into contact with, the general advice seems to be to try to do this yourself – but there is another way. You can book an online hair and make-up consultation with a professional make-up artist so that you can discuss your look and how to achieve it, as well as learning step-by-step how to be wedding-photo ready. If you would like us to get you quotes for this service, just send us the details through our online request form.

3.) Your Virtual Guests

If they can’t be there in person, it doesn’t mean that all your friends and family can’t enjoy your wonderful wedding day. Many couples have chosen to arrange a live stream of their wedding so that everyone they wanted to share their moment can see them say ‘I Do’.

Not only that, but you can also arrange a time slot at your wedding when you can have zoom calls on a large screen with some of the key people who will want to wish you well and send you messages.

4.) Live & Not-So-Live Entertainment & Music

Even with wedding numbers being reduced, there are still opportunities to include live entertainment, particularly if you choose a solo act. With most venues it should be easy to find an area large enough for a single performer. A wedding violinist, harpist or pianist will bring real romance to your ceremony and a touch of class to your wedding breakfast or reception.

If you have a larger or outside area, you could hire a stilt walker (they come with social distancing as standard!) or for wow-factor, a fire performer or aerialist.

Many couples enjoy having a wedding singer to sing the songs that have a special meaning for them. In many areas singing isn’t currently allowed at weddings, but that doesn’t mean that you need to miss out…

With well set up screens and audio equipment, our wedding and opera singers can bring their talent to your venue online and you can still have that spine-tingling romantic moment, with your favourite song.

Many of our other wedding entertainers are also ready to go for virtual performances too – whether you would like to surprise the bride or groom with a message from a ‘Sean Connery’ or a song from ‘Adele’, or hire a magician to create a personalized magic show where they produce messages and mementos that mean something to you and your guests…

There’s no reason why a smaller wedding can’t be every bit as memorable and meaningful, and if you think ‘virtual’ you can have pretty much anything your imagination can dream up.

Just fill in our virtual services request form with as much information as you can, and we’ll find that perfect singer, musician, magician, make-up artist or anything else you want, for you!
