1 Live Lounge set for their busiest year yet

Strong advance bookings have set Live Lounge up for a packed summer of weddings. Some dates have already been in the calendar for 12 months, and the trio will be playing two weddings in successive nights at the busiest periods. The band will travel North to Jesmond, over to Windermere in the Lake District and South to Nottinghamshire on their travels over the next few months.

2 It’s always nice to be asked back!

Entering their fourth year together, the band are now benefitting from a healthy proportion of business coming from repeat bookings. Live Lounge will be appearing at the prestigious Blues Bar in Harrogate for their 7th and 8th gigs there (2nd August and December 6th) as well as repeat corporate engagements at Forsters Bistro, Oulton Hall and ‘The Big Lunch’ at Halifax HQ. A bride from 2014 booked the band straight after the wedding  for her birthday in Sheffield – 14 months ahead!

3 Rebirth of Live Lounge

Following a fantastic end to 2014 with a Christmas Eve gig in Baildon, the trio took a break while Michaela gave birth to her first child – beautiful baby Mia. The return to live performance came in mid-March at The Forge in Horsforth surrounded by close friends, family and colleagues. The band confirmed two weddings and a birthday party as a result of clients hearing the band perform live at this gig.

4 Live Lounge return to Disability Rocks!

A wonderful experience for the band in 2014 was their first appearance at the Disability Rocks festival in Ilkley. They are delighted to have been asked back to perform at the 2015 festival at the end of May.

Disability Rocks is a not for profit organisation established in early 2012 by Richard Sutton, father of a young boy with a rare chromosome disorder. Richard wanted to develop new and innovative ways to help people living with disabilities have positive experiences of music and arts as it had become clear that live music and arts activities and involvement can have a hugely positive impact on people’s lives. However, there were few examples of this being supported – and so Disability Rocks was born.

This ambitious organisation has now expanded the programme to four festivals across the UK in 2015 and plan even more in 2016.
