Q. What are the most common events that you perform at?
A. I perform at a number of different events from private parties, public events and corporate occasions. But to me it doesn’t matter really what type of event it is, coz the whole idea is to have loads of FUN!! I find it very amusing how at my shows lots of people don’t think hypnosis is real to start with, however by the end of it they always completely believe just how real it really is, which is great because its not just for having a great evening. Hypnosis helps hundreds of people every day with different issues in their life. So the shows are fantastic for opening peoples eyes to the power of their own minds.
Q. Is there audience interaction in your act?
A. From the start to the finish, it’s not just the volunteers that join me on stage that become part of the performance and the stars of the show. They are also sent into the audience for different things. The shows are a great way to get everyone interacting with each other, hence why they are a brilliant way to bring people together at corporate and private occasions.
Q. What is one of the highlights of your show?
A. One of the last skits I do is called ‘The Runaround’. This is when I give everyone who is in a trance a different suggestion, So there are people on stage doing different things, people going into the audience doing different things. It is sort of like organised mayhem, and I’ve got to keep an eye on what and where they all are. Luckily, I have a great sound guy who helps me with this, but it is complete madness. The audience don’t know who or what is gonna happen next, with loads of people everywhere doing and saying different things.
Q. What’s your most favourite gig to date? A. Probably one I did last year for the Royal Marine’s. It was for a passing out parade, I had all the training staff there watching too. The new Marine’s that we’re in trance did some really silly things and even involved some of the training officers and sergeants in things. One of the sergeants asked me to show him how I did it, coz it would make his job so much easier in making the recruits perform to their best! Don’t think he meant the lap dance that four of the recruits gave him though, lol.
Q. Describe your act in 5 words A. Mad, Mayhem, Hysterical, Different every-time.
Q. Are there any occasions that your act is better suited to?
A. Up until about 9 months ago I would of only said don’t book this act for a funeral……. But I’ve perform at one now so, no, not really. If you want to bring people together and have some fun any event my act is good for.
Q. Can you tailor your act to the booker’s requirements?
A. The great thing about my type of act is that it can be tailored to any occasion, season or event that you have in mind as the suggestions I give can reflect the type of event it is, or you want it to be. So luckil,y its an act that works for ALL types you want at your function.
Q. Do you have an ideal age-range for your act?
A. It doesn’t really matter about the age of the audience as I have a family show and an adult only show, so that isn’t a problem. However, for the purpose of hypnosis, the volunteers who come on stage must be 18 years or older. That is a legal requirement.
Q. Do you sell any merchandise?
A. If the booker doesn’t mind, I do sometimes bring along some MP3’s for different things that hypnosis can help with, but this is only if the booker has no objections.
Q. How long before the event do you typically arrive at the venue?
A. I normally try to arrive about an hour and a half before the show to set things up and to do some people-watching to see what the audience is like, and where the characters are. This way, I can gauge the sense of humour they have and what I can do to make the evening a great success for the booker, and of course, for the audience.
