To assist you in booking Massachusetts Based Juggler Bryson Lang for your upcoming event, we recently had a Q&A session with him!
Q. What are the most common events that you perform at?
A. I perform at corporate events, resorts, colleges and schools, fundraisers, fairs, festivals and private events. I have 15 years of cruise ship experience on all major lines and I have performed in 10 hotel/ casino shows.
Q. What’s your most favourite gig to date and why? A. My most favorite gig has to be the two months I was performing in Japan at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo. I was in a show called, Las Vegas Magic. I was the middle act in the show and I loved it. Being in such a fantastic city in an amazing venue for a run like that was one of the goals and dreams I had when I got into this business.
Q. Whereabouts have you played in the country/world?
A. I have been lucky enough to perform all over the world. I did 4 tours of US military bases in Europe and the Balkans: Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Hungary, Iceland, Norway, England, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands. I performed for 5 months in a theater in Beijing, China. Several weeks in Tokyo, Japan at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel. Several weeks in Mexico at three resorts, in Ottawa Canada for special events. I have performed in almost every state in the US including casino shows in Oregon, Nevada (Tahoe, Las Vegas and Laughlin), Atlantic City, and at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles.
Q. Is there audience interaction in your act?
A. I have several audience interaction routines in my show: A ball and plate spinning routine, a basketball themed routine, a teamwork scarf juggling routine for a couple, and a routine where I get help juggling sickles on a balance board while spinning a ball on a stick in my mouth. I think breaking that wall between the audience and the performer is important and where most of the funniest and most spontaneous moments come from.
Q. Is your act child-friendly? A. My show IS family-friendly and child friendly. There is nothing offensive, off-colour or inappropriate in my show. My show works well for all ages and has material that reaches all age groups.
Q. What type of occasion/event have you the most experience in performing at?
A. The biggest crowd I performed for was the half-time show for the NY Islanders Professional Hockey Team for 14,000 people. I have a photo of me on the big screen above the ice. It was a thrill!
Q. Do you have any video links on your profile for a booker to view your act? A. I do. My main promotional video and all of my other videos are on my website.
Q. Do you have online reviews on your Profile that bookers can read?
A. I have dozens of both testimonials and letters of recommendation on my website under “What they are saying”. These reviews represent all the different categories of performing venues that I do. I am always happy to email copies of the letters of recommendation to potential clients as well.
Q. What is the average duration of your act?
A. I am flexible and can perform for any length of time but I most often get asked to do 45-50 minutes. I can easily do a short set in a review show like I did in Tokyo for 8 minutes, or a 90-minute show like I did last summer for an event in New England.
