Q. What are the most common events that you perform at?
A. On the whole, our performances are divided into 5 areas: Private, Corporate, Charity, Fan Events and Concerts. The private and corporate market has always been our busiest market and these events have been the ones that have taken us abroad to places like Monte Carlo, The Maldives, Switzerland, Italy, Majorca and Germany. These tend to be birthdays, weddings, product launches, awards ceremonies or just themed office parties. Fan events are more of a recent development for us. Word has spread throughout the James Bond Fan community about our show and we have been invited to appear at several 007 fan events such as “On The Tracks of 007” – a gathering of most of the major Bond fan clubs from around the World ahead of the Spectre Premier in 2015. In 2016 we appeared at “Bondstars” at Pinewood Studios. In addition to these private bookings, we have also been putting on concerts in theatres across the UK, which have proved very popular and selling out.
Q. How long have you been in the entertainment industry?
A. Individually our musicians are all plucked from various orchestras, West End Shows and session musicians – who have been working in the industry for varying amounts of years, but the actual show/band has been active since 2004. In 2013 we became a limited company as we had grown to a size that it was the next logical step.
Q. On average, how much do you cost to hire? A. We have a range of options to cater for different budgets and requirements. That is what makes the group so unique and adaptable. We can offer a reduced number of musicians (6) and still create a fabulous wow factor, or if our client wants to go all out on entertainment, our full 13 piece band will absolute blow the crowd away. We also have a mid-range option of 10, or for really large scale events we can add live Strings and go up to 18 piece, or even bigger!
Generally our 6 piece band goes out (in London, UK) for around £2,250 and the 13 piece band £4,000. Those prices include 3 sets of 45 minutes of live music, plus we bring our own sound and lighting with an engineer.
Q. Is there audience interaction in your act? A. We have a set designed for maximum entertainment and engagement, and part of that is the musicians leaving the stage at certain points to perform in amongst the audience. The singers will go and engage with the audience and even our Brass players go a show off their skills directly to the audience.
Q. What is one of the highlights of your show? A. The energy and skill of the musicians, performing incredible songs. One of the comments that is heard more than any other, over and over again is “better than the original”. Whilst we are a tribute to the amazing original songs and artists and don’t set out to upstage anyone at all, it shows the calibre of musicians and performance that this is heard time and again from our clients.
Q. What’s your most favourite gig to date and why? A. Wow, this is genuinely a tough question as we have been lucky to perform at so many amazing events. Playing in Monte Carlo (twice) at both the Hotel De Paris and Fairmont Hotels was amazing, playing to 2,000 people at The NEC Birmingham was amazing, taking the band to The Maldives was incredible, but playing at the James Bond fan events (such as www.Bondstars.com) is just the top for us. We are huge Bond fans, so to be able to share the gift of live music with those who appreciate the material the most, was just an unforgettable experience.
Q. Whereabouts have you played in the country/world?
A. We have performed at most of the UK’s major venues such as National History Museum, NEC Birmingham, Cliveden House Hotel, The Waldorf Hotel, The Lancaster Hotel, Royal Courts Of Justice, Warner Hotels, Centre Parcs, St James Hotel London – and so many more. Internationally I’ve already mentioned, but we have performed at corporate events in Monte Carlo, The Maldives, Switzerland, Italy, Majorca and Guernsey. We performed a concert in Germany in an arena. Private events have also taken place in Monte Carlo (again!), Guernsey (again!), Cyprus, Gibraltar, and Czech Republic.
Q. Describe your act in 5 words. A. Unique, Spine-Tingling, Unforgettable, Unmatched, Emotional.
Q. What do you personally enjoy most about performing? A. Performing the amazing music of James Bond, and seeing the incredible reaction of people seeking the show…particularly Bond fans…
Q. What’s the biggest crowd you performed to so far? A. As a group, we performed at Quex Prom in the Park in 2007 to over 5,000 people. Though it has to be said, individually, the musicians have all performed to far in excess of that. We have several members of the band who have performed on international events to millions of people on TV.
Q. What type of occasion/event have you the most experience performing at? A. Having been performing since 2004 and at literally hundreds if not thousands of events, we feel comfortable in any situation and love the challenges of working with different clients to different briefs. Although it is rare we do come across a completely new situation these days, it is always fun to do so.
Q. Do you have any overtime charges if the even runs late? A. Well that depends on a number of factors. We always make it clear in advance what we are required to do, what will provide, what is not included and what charges would be added if events run past a certain time.
Q. What questions would you like to ask your booker? A. Location, Timings, No of guests/crowd size, Stage Space, any sound limiters.
Q. Is you act child-friendly? A. Absolutely.

Q. Can you tailor your act to the booker’s requirements?
A. We always work with a booker to try to meet requirements.
Q. Do you require any special arrangements in order to perform? A. No.
Q. Do you have any online reviews a booker can read? A. Yes.
Q. What is the average duration of your act?
A. Depending on the bookers needs, we recommend 3 x 45 minute sets.
Q. Are there any cancellation fees? A. Yes, we have a contract in place which we go through with the client and leave them time to read and digest.
Q. What sets your act apart from your competition? A. Class.
Q. Do you have an idea age-range? A. No.
Q. How long before the event do you typically arrive at the venue?
A. We generally like to have 2-4 hours to set and soundcheck without having to rush.
Q. Do you have an interval?
A. We do recommend breaks – the audience appreciate them as much as the band, and they give the band opportunity to re-charge and go 100% for the entire time they are on stage.
Q. Are you insured for Public Liability?
A. Yes and all our equipment is PAT tested.
Q. Do you sell any merchandise?
A. Yes, DVDs and CDs of the show are available on our website.
Q. If you were to cancel on the day due to an emergency, do you provide a back-up?
A. We have never cancelled – ever, let alone on the day of a performance. Should some unthinkable situation arise, we would make every effort possible to fulfil our booking.
Q. Do you require a meal?
A. Yes – a hot meal for each band member on site.
Q. How far in advance would you advise that the booker book you?
A. As far as possible as we do get very busy, and our musicians are often booked up for other tours and artistes. The West End performers are always delighted for a change of scene though, so they aren’t such a problem!
Q. Would there be any fees that the booker is not accounting for?
A. Depending on the location of the event. We always discuss these costs up front.
Q. What kind of outfit will you wear?
A. For our James Bond set we wear DJs and long dresses. For the party sets we change into slightly more relaxed and groovier dress.
Q. Do you use flashing lights in your act?
A. We do, but if required, can turn them off.
Q. Do you require help to set up your equipment/set-up?
A. No, as long as there are no stairs between the loading area and the performing area. It is also worth noting for outdoor events (marques for example) we have a surcharge for carrying over gravelled areas as our equipment is heavy and on wheels.
Q. Do you have a back-up plan if there is a malfunction with the equipment?
A. Yes, we carry backups for pretty much everything.
