Q. What are the most common events that you perform at?
A. From May-September we mostly do weddings and then in the winter, we tend to do race courses and public events along with private functions such as birthdays, funerals, etc.
Q. How long have you been in the entertainment industry?
A. I (Middi) started in 1996 as a soloist but I formed the band in 2005
Q. What’s your most favourite gig to date and why?
A. Peterborough arena was a ball, we played there in the motorhome show and were in the ‘small’ room. They didn’t think we’d have many in as there was a big name act in the main room but 30 mins into our show we were at the 800 capacity and they were turning people away from the door, it was a great, fun gig.

A. Lively, Bouncing, Thumping, Irish, Fun
Q. Whereabouts have you played in the country/world?
A.We’ve played in every county of the UK,We’ve played in every county of the UK, we also did 6 summers on the Greek Islands, We’ve done Benidorm, Dubai and we also came 3rd in a competition in Las Vegas.
Q. Performing your act, what’s your biggest achievement so far?
A. Being accepted by the big name Irish venues as been a proud moment for us over the years. We struggled to get taken seriously at first as none of us were Irish but now they seem to love us and we’ve been on some of the most respected Irish venues in the UK
Q. Is there audience interaction in your act?
A. Not really, our act is very much like a theatre show, there’s jokes and stories in between the songs but the audience for the most part just get drunk and dance.
Q. What is one of the highlights of your show?
A. Personally I love doing our version of Tell me ma, that’s the point where we do a song that everyone knows and the reaction when they sing along is amazing.
Q. What do you personally enjoy most about performing?
A. Getting on the road and meeting new people, I love travelling the country and playing music.
Q. Are there any occasions that your act is better suited to?
A. St. Patricks day!
Q. Are there any occasions that you would not advise to book you for?
A. I don’t think we’d go down to well at a heavy metal convention 🙂 We don’t go down very well in folk clubs / festivals, they like there music a bit less raucous than we tend to play.
Q. Is your act child-friendly?
Q. What’s the biggest crowd you’ve performed to so far?
A. We played at the Welsh Grand National, there was 11,500 people there, they weren’t there to see us but we’ll count it as a win.
Q. What type of occasion/event have you the most experience in performing at?
A. Weddings, we’e done over 3000 of them so far and we really know them inside out. We’ve also played a lot of the major race courses so we’re pretty well structured to handle them now too
Q. Do you have over-time charges if the event runs late?
A.We have a 2 x 1 hour set show, if they want a later finish then we can arrange that for a fee.
Q. What questions would you need to know from a booker?
A. Where is the venue and what times do they want us.
Q. Do you have any video links on your Profile for a booker to view your act? A. Oh yes, we have some of the most professional promo videos ever put on profile sites!
Q. Can you tailor your act to the booker’s requirements?
A. Kind of, we’re pretty much a set show and that why they book us, for our show.
Q. Do you need any special arrangements in order to perform?
A.We need a plug socket and a place to stand.. Everything else (food, drink, stage, place to change, etc.) is a bonus
Q. Do you have online reviews on your Profile that bookers can read?
A. If you search for us on the internet you’ll find lots of top reviews about us.
Q. What is the average duration of your act?
A. 2 x 1 hour sets
Q. Do you have an ideal age-range for your act?
A. Our music is not age specific. We’ve done 18th birthdays and we’ve done 80th birthdays
Q. Are there any cancellation fees?
A. There’s a non refundable deposit system we like to use
Q. What sets your act apart from your competition?
A. If it’s lively Irish music they want then we are pretty much the best available.
Q. What was your worst gig and why?
A. Back in the day when we used to play clubs (most of them were fine) we ended up in this horrific venue in a place that will remain nameless, it was terrible, they were fighting before we went on, the place was filthy, the crowd was very scary and we had to make a run for it after the first set as we’d already had tables and chairs come at us (not aimed at us, just overspill from the fighting)
Q. Do you have an interval?
A. Yes we do.
Q. Are you insured for Public Liability?
A. We are.
Q. Do you sell any merchandise?
A. We do, we have just released a box set of 3 CD’s and a DVD
Q. If you were to cancel on the day due to an emergency, do you provide a back-up?
A. Sadly no, we’re quite niche and the chances of finding a back up are slim, in fairness in 12 years we’ve only cancelled 3 shows, however, we always work thru agents so the back up should be with them
Q. Are there any other services you provide, such as MC’ing?
A. We can bring DJ equipment and play a disco after the show (for a fee)
Q. How long before the event do you typically arrive at the venue?
A. About 2-3 hours before performance time.
Q. Do you require a meal?
A. No we don’t need one.
Q. How far in advance would you advise that the booker book you?
A.We’re usually booked up a year in advance.
Q. Would there be any fees that the booker is not accounting for?
A. No, our fees quoted are all in, the only thing we don’t quote is for the agents fees if applicable.
Q. What kind of outfit will you wear?
A. Smart stage clothes, occasionally the kilt comes out.
Q. Do you use flashing lights in your act?
A. We have a full light show.
Q. Do you require help to set up your equipment/set-up?
A. No we have our own road crew.
Q. Do you have a back-up plan if there is a malfunction with the equipment? A.We carry back up equipment with us.
Q. Would you say you have a good rapport with your audience?
A. Yes, we try to engage them with our stories and one liners.
Q. Does your pricing change during popular seasons?
A. No, Our price is based on travelling distance, the only time the fee is increased is St. Patricks Week and New Years Eve.
