Description

David Chandler (aka “Chandler”) provides close-up, parlor, and cabaret-style shows. His award-winning performances are suitable for a variety of events. His engaging personality and close-up magic are incredible. He works the room by mingling with your guests and giving them brief performances of sleight-of-hand magic. His light-hearted and welcoming approach puts your guests at ease, and his magic is as amazing as it is interactive. Chandler's magic is an icebreaker and conversation maker people talk about long after the event is over.
Chandler also offers his superb close-up magic ... show for small audiences (typically less than 40 people). The magic is mostly performed on a table. The audience's attention is focused, because there is something happening at all times. His close-up magic show offers more production value than the strolling performance, because the items involved offer a broader range of possibilities and theatrical elements.
Chandler performs magic with finger rings, rubber bands, playing cards, watches, money, glasses, napkins, permanent markers, and more. No gaffs or gimmicks. The items he uses are genuine, which allow better audience interaction.
For larger audiences Chandler offers his parlor and cabaret shows. These shows have excellent production value. While the parlor show is a scaled down version of the cabaret show, it provides the greatest range of possibilities by blending close-up and cabaret magic. In short, his parlor show offers the atmosphere of a close-up performance, while providing the production value of a cabaret show.
Chandler's cabaret show is perfect for theaters, banquets, and other special gatherings that demand a featured presentation or highlight for an audience greater than 50 people. Chandler's show is highly interactive, mesmerizing, and fun! His show is clean and sophisticated. While it was created with adult audiences in mind, it plays well for audiences of all ages. Physical Characteristics

Meet the Act

Chandler discovered his passion for magic as a teenager. Despite his success in performing paid shows by the time he was 16, his father, an Aerospace Engineer for NASA, wasn’t keen on his son’s idea of becoming a professional magician over attending college and getting a real job. So, when Chandler graduated high school, he got a real job and joined the U.S. Army. His father was stunned, although proud.
During his service, Chandler was trained as a combat engineer, long-range reconnaissance scout and Airborne Ranger. Chandler has over one-hundred parachute jumps. After several deploy ... ments, he desperately needed a creative outlet, so he went back to his childhood hobby of magic and soon began performing at private and corporate events. Heeding his father’s original Advice, Chandler completed college and graduated summa cum laude, majoring in Operations Management.
