Biography

Ciara Harvie is a stunning and impressively talented mezzo-soprano.
The 22-year-old Scot is one of the brightest stars emerging on the music scene with her unique and exquisite classical tone.
Adaptable and appropriate in any environment, her profile is quickly growing through a range of television, concert and theatre appearances, as well as performing at corporate and bespoke private events around the world.
Ciara, from Longniddry, East Lothian has a unique background. She taught herself to sing watching Youtube videos of other classical singers such as: Jackie Evancho, Katherine Jenkins ... and Andrea Bocelli.
After wowing her family, she signed up by the renowned Russian vocal coach Sergei Desmond and has progressed immeasurably since.
Power is one of Ciara’s greatest assets. Her voice has the ability to hit notes many others can only dream of. The atmosphere and raw emotion her concerts create are breathtaking and leave audiences stunned.
Performing to an impressive audience of 1,200 people at Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre, her first-ever public performance left judges spellbound and Ciara hasn’t looked back.
She’s already achieved so much in the early stages of what’s destined to be a fabulous career. Her fan base is rapidly growing through various performances at venues such as The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, ‘UK On Stage’ Youtube event at The Roundhouse in London alongside Stormzy and Paloma Faith, private event performance for ‘Game Of Thrones’ star James Cosmo, international performances in Tuscany, Amsterdam and Budapest. While her biggest performance to date was on The Voice UK 2017 where she received acknowledgement from music legends; Jenifer Hudson, Tom Jones, Gavin Rosdale and Will I Am.
This lead to her being invited to represent the UK in a classical concert in Moscow at The Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, performing live with The Tyumen Orchestra.
In addition to these impressive performances, on a number of occasions Ciara has been invited to talk to young people at school events to share her inspiring story of working hard and never giving up on your dreams, this including doing a speech at Holyrood Palace in the presence of HRH Prince Edward at The Gold Duke Of Edinburgh Awards presentation. This is something Ciara never would have seen herself doing only a few years ago as her confidence as grown incredibly since.
One of Ciara’s ‘proudest’ moments to date is holding her own official Edinburgh Fringe concerts during August 2019 which received a rare 5 star review from Scottish Field;
