Surrounded by a family of musicians, Olivia began her journey by studying music at the age of five years old. She took piano lessons from her mom for six years until she fell in love with the guitar when she was ten. Olivia’s dad helped her discover the guitar and she promptly started to take lessons. With the help of a classical background, she was soon strumming chords, picking melodies, leading worship at church, and performing Celtic music in her family's band. A career in music was never in the forefront of her mind, but the emotions of junior high brought out a gift in her that would propel Olivia to places she never thought she would go. What started off as simple songs about life, relationships, and experiences, soon matured into tunes that began to touch people of all ages.
As the young artist received her High School diploma, her path led her to Bradley University to pursue a major in graphic design. After a year of art classes, writing songs in her spare time, and winning Bradley's "Idol Competition," Olivia realized that her heart was leading her towards a life of songwriting and performing. At the end of her freshman year, the nineteen year old spent a week in Nashville at a songwriter’s festival, and received an opportunity to record her first album, “Don’t Come Knockin’” at Treasure Isle Recorders. After a week of preparing, recording and tracking her album at the end of the summer, Olivia decided to transfer to Greenville College in southern Illinois to earn a commercial music degree. Once she completed her first semester, Olivia decided to go on her own and become immersed in the world of music to build her career from the ground up. This decision would prove to be a long, rigorous journey for the young entrepreneur, but as she perfected her skills, professionalism, and music, the talented artist’s career has propelled forward.
Over the course of the last few years, Olivia has known that what she is called to do is simply love and encourage people. "The most important thing I can do as a songwriter is to discover truths about myself to gain a general understanding and knowledge of the human heart. Every song I write needs to be honest, relatable, and strong." A true artist, songwriter, and lover of other people, Olivia makes her goal in life to write songs that simply take people with her on her journey.

Olivia Dvorak's single, "Don't Come Knockin'" incorporates an old rustic, yet fresh feel. She wrote the tune in a couple days and filled it with vibrant, vintage imagery and simple yet witty lyrics and powerful musicality. When creating the song, she started with a Celtic and folk sounding guitar part and the lyrics followed right behind.$10 (+$5 P&P)
