The Big Band Theory are a premium 4 piece band specialising in high-energy music for weddings, corporate events and private functions, pubs/clubs – at a sensible price. We pride ourselves on having a “cooler-than-average” song list that is never cheesy, and focuses squarely on filling your dance floor. With The Big Band Theory you’ll get one of the best bands in the country, playing your favourite music. Where we play: We travel around the country and abroad UK, Spain, Cyprus, Italy to name a few places we have played.

At the gig, we will present a number of different songs so you can see the diversity we bring, so you can find the style that grabs you. It’s a fun night out and an excellent demonstration of our passion, professionalism and our versatility.

Wedding Services
CEREMONY
We love playing wedding ceremonies! Whether you’d prefer traditional classical songs, or a more modern approach, we want to help. We provide a Keyboard and Vocalist and our vocalist Irene is a classically trained soprano.
Our suggested approach with wedding ceremony music is this: bigger is NOT better. Unlike the main dance band, ceremony music is all about simplicity, elegance, and atmosphere.
RECEPTION
This is where we really shine – amazing dance parties are how The Big Band Theory have earned their fantastic reputation! We pride ourselves on our high energy, and flawless performance – it’s all about great preparation and a genuine love for what we do to ensure you have the best night of your life.
Discuss your first dance options with us – we can perform your dream song, or if you want to dance to the original recording we can help facilitate the timings then move into live dance music straight after.
We’ll even secretly take a call from your best friend to secretly organise a surprise flash mob dance… Anything for your special day!
Also we provide our own DJ service for afterwards and this is a seemless transition at the end of the night so there is no drop in music or atmosphere.
