Hello, I am John Hollis, drummer and percussionist. I've played music for decades across the west coast, Seattle, Bay Area, and LA. I have also spent some time in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, on tour with various artists.
I was trained as an orchestral percussionist, specializing in marimba, tympani, and snare drum, crash cymbals and tambourine. I have Eastern Washington State upbringing, was a swimmer, turned musician at a young age. I studied music at WSU and I perform and teach regularly.
I was 1st chair in the Washington Idaho Symphony for several years with my instructor as principal, playing the world's greatest music.
