Biography

Eddie James are a London based soul-pop acoustic duo fronted by West End vocalist Eddie Elliott & completed by versatile session guitarist Robbie Barnby. Our differing musical styles result in a unique sound and exciting interpretations of pop and soul hits. The Eddie James sound is funky, fresh and fun, drawing from a wide range of musical influences. Eddie James are able to provide lively and engaging entertainment as the 'main event' or are equally as at home providing more subtle, background music.
Eddie has had a diverse career as an actor and singer. He has spent the last 10 years per ... forming in shows such as The Lion King, We Will Rock You & Motown The Musical. He has also been involved in a variety of musical projects that have seen him singing in hotels & functions across London and Spain, hosting various high-profile events and performing at The Box, Soho. Eddie's first love has always been pop/soul/r'n'b, hence the formation of Eddie James.
Robbie graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music with a first class honours degree.
Robbie has played live with a number of bands across multiple genres as well as doing intensive studio work both for his own material and for other musicians. He has worked with a number of Jazz function bands, performed solo cocktail guitar work and in the orchestra of a luxury cruise liner, quickly being promoted to the ship's musical director.
