HELLO WONDERFUL PEOPLE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POPPING BY!
We are The Moot. Clare sings and plays electric guitar and Eryl plays drums or djembe hand drum . We are travelling minstrels performing music around Britain, playing gigs, parties, weddings, corporate events, charitable events & special occasions.
Clare makes guitar tutorial videos on youtube and we stream live performances on Facebook live.
A LITTLE BACKGROUND
Changing our name from Bud to The Moot we landed in Huddersfield in 2005 playing mainly pub gigs, hosting jam nights at Bar Amour and charity events.
In 2010 we start ... ing performing on the streets around the country and invested in a battery amp and a djembe hand drum. We have had such an amazing time and met incredible characters all with a great tale to tell. Street music and Council contracts led us to buying some percussion, and we (The Moot) becoming and interactive act with people of all ages and from all walks of life join in with the music.
2011 was a special year as we were joined by a new band member, Lucy the Dalmatian joined the team, she is the star of the show and loves adventuring around the country, taking part in the performances, dancing and occasionally singing, most of all Lucy loves meeting people.
In 2012 we began working with local councils and community groups providing interactive live music experiences.
Whilst we (The Moot) focused mainly on live performances including BBC Upstaged, Thanking Simon Cowell for wasting our time on BGT and a brief appearance on the ITV music awards thanks to Jarvis Cocker adding our version of 'Common people' to his top 10 favourite Pulp covers, Clare started to make youtube videos showing people how to play some of her favourite songs. The Guardian caught wind and did an article. Now 10 years later, 7000+ subscribers and a youtube partner, Clare's channel's well worth a gander.
2015 and we moved back to Scotland back to where it all began 10 years earlier. We have met some amazing people, travelled to new and exciting places and been honoured to have been invited and welcomed into community groups and charitable organisations to perform music and share interactive musical experiences. We look forward to some exciting gigs with the full drumkit and taking bookings for Full electric or semi- Acoustic gigs for all types of events, holiday parks etc.
We host an acoustic open mic night at Craft Hotel in Wigtown, Scotland on Tuesday evenings from 8pm.
The future is YOU and we are so excited, we are in a new era for the creative and entertainment world, where YOU the fans decide what's good and who to help. We want to build on our interactive live performances and develop a fully interactive online fan experience including live streams of performances and guitar tutorials with Clare.
Playing music for us is a spiritual vocation as much as it is economic. It enables us to connect with people in ways we would otherwise never experience. We love learning new songs and feeling the heartbeat of the streets, and are so grateful for the continuing support we receive both in person and online wherever we play.
Facebook live enables us to connect with old and new fans around the world, and we love that you watch, share and comment on our live performances.
Please note to tune in to our live facebook streams we use Eryl's facebook page you will need to add her as a friend. Thanks!
