The Rook Duo is comprised of Kevin Miller (saxophone) and Veronica Kociolek (Violin/Viola). We perform in a wide variety of genres which include jazz, pop, classical, rock, and musicals. Our goal is to satisfy our listeners in any performance situation. We have a wide repertoire of music so that we may be able to perform for any event and occasion.

Biography

Kevin Miller graduated from the Ball State University School of Music in 2012 with a degree in Music Technology. In his senior year, he was awarded the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation Fellowship Grant for his performance of Polkadots and Moonbeams at the Indy Jazz Fest. He has performed with numerous bands and ensembles in the Indianapolis area. Miller also has performed on the cruise ships: Carnival Triumph, Carnival Pride, Carnival Splendor, Oceania Marina, and Norwegian Pearl.
Veronica Kociolek recieved her Masters in Solo Music Performance from the Frederic Chopin University of Mus ... ic in Warsaw. She has won competitions throughout Europe for her virtuosity on the viola and violin. In 2014, she was selected from violists around the world to work with the Vienna Philharmonic. She worked as a performer and arranger for the show "Swiat Sie Kreci" on Polish Television. She has worked with the Iuventus Orchestra, I'culture Orchestra, Baltic Philharmonic, and many other orchestras and opera houses in Europe. In 2015, she worked as a musician for Norwegian Cruise Lines.
