Emma Durkan is a Scottish celtic harpist, fiddle player and singer who specialises in the performance of Scottish and Irish music but plays a wide and varied repertoire of music, from The Beatles to Bach. Emma strives to make every performance fantastic and give her client an unforgettable musical experience. Biography

Emma Durkan is a skilled performer who has travelled throughout the United Kingdom to play in concert halls, weddings, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries, funerals, care homes, dinners and schools. She plays the clarsach (celtic harp), fiddle and sings. She studied music from the age of 11 and by 2014, she graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in music. Emma has delighted many audiences in the country and beyond, with her sensitive approach to playing and singing.

Emma played harp and fiddle at our wedding in April 2018. She was incredible. From the moment we first got in touch with her, she was friendly and professional. She facilitated all our requests. On the day she played beautifully. I'll never forget the moment I walked down the aisle to her rendition of our chosen song. Many guests commented they'd enjoyed her music throughout the ceremony and drinks reception. I would highly recommend her.

So many people have commented on how much they enjoyed the music... I'm sure that people were dancing because they couldn't resist your fiddle playing. Also it was delightful to be able to talk between dances, yet also listen to and enjoy your harp playing. Your contribution to the success of our day is immeasurable. You are a delightful musician and charming too!
