I have a BA.Hons Degree in commercial modern music. I play the piano and I am a vocalist who writes her own songs. I have recorded for other artists in recording studios and I have gigged and travelled playing music for a living. I recently travelled to Nashville where I performed at a number of gigs and gained a vast amount of knowledge about the music business.I am very confident with backing vocals and I have a wide range and knowledge of songs. My preferred genre is country music but I am used to singing and performing in any style.

Biography

Carrie Haskins is the Moniker of songwriter and musician Carolann Haskins. She is a young singer songwriter from Kildare and describes her style as ‘country crossover’.
“From the time I was small,
I’ve always listened to and been inspired
by country music”. Her style is rooted in an
honest blend of American Country and Pop. With her palette of influences striving from Brad Paisley to Tammy Wynette, she emits a beautiful and emotionally real sound that wins over many listeners.

In 2011, Carrie received major accolades and recognition from her appearance on “The Voice� ... � in Ireland. She reached the battle stages but unfortunately lost out due to stylistic differences. Her chair-turning “Blind Audition” with the show can be viewed here:

Carrie has been studying music for the past few years, firstly in the Ballyfermot College of Further Education and now in BIMM Dublin, where she is a part of the College's House Band. She is currently co-writing with many songwriters from Nashville and has had radio interest with her songs from her Ep being played on WJJM Radio Tennesse, Radio Medusa Holland, Best country radio Nashville and on CRC Fm in Mayo .


In 2014, Carrie celebrated her Debut Ep that was distributed globally through INgrooves/Universal to over 100 countries. This includes “The Letter Goodbye”, her single and video off the Ep.
Ms. Haskins is also recognized as a CMT Artist, receiving this branding through star ones entertainment’s licensing deal with Viacom. This has resulted with her attaining her own site on Viacom.TV, featuring the video “The Letter Goodbye”. Her records can be described as a Mix of upbeat and slower relaxed ballads. Lush instrumentation intertwined with rich vocal lines and harmonies make for a captivating and rapturing listen. From the opening country spirit to the closing revenge, it’s clear from start to end that you, the listener are on a journey of highs and lows, lyrically melodically and instrumentally.
2015 looks to be an exciting year for Carrie and her guitarist Paul Costello. The pair are set to travel to Nashville in September, where she will be showcasing her music and co-writing with various country music artists.
