I'm very big on entertaining. And I love to entertain the audience with my sense of humor as well. I love to do intimate shows as well entertaining big audiences and arenas. Singing is my passion. I enjoy serenading and telling stories vocally. I studied music and theory so I have a musical background. My father was a musician also who played for Earth, Wind and Fire as well as James Brown and Dizzy Gillespie. So I have a very broad musical upbringing. Jazz is my favorite, but I'm a fan of all music. I love to perform with a band and leave my heart on the stage. Biography
Lauren "LA" Young has been filling people's hearts with music since the age of 7. She learned different genres of music from her late father, Ronald Young, who's played alongside ppl like "Earth, Wind and Fire", James Brown and Dizzy Gillespie. LA had a very diverse upbringing when it came to music. Jazz, classical, R&B, soul and more. She attended Rosa Parks H.S in Paterson NJ where she majored in music. She went on to perform in several groups who have opened up for Patti Labelle, the Commodores, Boys2Men, and many more. She's traveled from NJ, LA, ATL, NY, and even Turkey. Pursuing her drea ... m of music. LA's voice has captured the hearts of many and continues to showcase the true art form of Performing/Singing. With her wide range and pure sound, there's no way you won't be captivated by this soulful voice. She currently does weddings, corporate events and an open mic, here at Jacksonville in Paterson every Friday night. If you haven't heard of LA, be prepared for an great entertaining show!
