Description

Hi I'm a trained classical singer (mezzo soprano). I am booked to sing at concerts, wedding ceremonies, funerals etc. I will liaise directly with you (and offer a variety of song suggestions if needs be) to ensure that you get exactly what you want. Couples getting married usually ask me to sing the bride in or to sing for the guests as the happy couple sign the register - the choice is yours.
If it's a funeral, it's often in the middle of the service that I sing during a time of reflection. I'm happy to sing on entrance or on exit as well - whatever is preferred. I understand that these a ... re incredibly important and emotional circumstances so I endeavor to do all I can to assist and make the occasion special. Being self-sufficient, it's not a problem if there is no pianist/organist available at your venue.
As well as these private ceremonies, I'm also booked to perform in oratorio (such as Handel's Messiah) with orchestras or at various concerts across the North.

Biography

Classically trained, Sarah has worked with numerous musicians including the Manchester Camerata Orchestra, BCU, Bolton Symphony orchestra to name but a few. She has been principle singer in famous works such as Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Nelson Mass, Elgar's Coronation Ode and performed at various theatres and venues across the north including King George's Hall, Liverpool Cathederal, Victoria Halls as well as the private hotels and churches for the weddings etc.
As well as classical, Sarah performs favourites from the shows, easy listening and jazz effortlessly with her smooth silky tones.

Sarah sang very recently at my wife's funeral service. From the very first time I spoke with Sarah on the telephone in mid June I knew I had 'struck lucky'. After explaining the sad passing of my wife to Sarah, and explained the type of tribute songs that I was asking her to sing there are many words that describe Sarah's performance and pay compliment to her voice. Stunning, breath taking, beautiful, sheer perfection, outstanding, these are just some of the comments that have been said to me from family and friends that attended my wife's funeral. Sarah sang in the chapel totally unaccompanied and a solo performance that was brilliant. I give my sincere gratitude to Sarah and would recommend her to others for ANY event or occasion. Sarah sang Nella Fantasia for my mum...it was beautiful, haunting and something special. Perfect classic performance which enriched my final goodbye to someone as special as a mum and I will be forever grateful that I found her. Experience

I have vast experience with numerous musicians in various circumstances (BCU, Manchester Camerata, Bolton Symphony Orchestra, pianists from across the country...). Classical recitals and concerts, theatre shows, variety shows - singing with a full orchestra behind me with no mic to full-on variety shows with electrical equipment and mics.
Working with different musicians on different bookings requires a high level of professionalism, flexibility, courtesy and musicality - which I pride myself on!
