Description

Harlequin's high-energy speed juggling sets itself apart from other juggling routines. Turning his props into a blur in the spotlight, combined with acrobatic and vivid character movements, this act delivers excitement, thrill, and sheer joy. This unique style is coveted for shows that want to deliver something unique and memorable when casting a juggler, and is perfect for bringing the energy up.
Harlequin is also one of few performers in the world who executes a freemount on a 7 ft. unicycle without assistance or a ladder on stage. His mastery of balance allows him to enthrall audiences b ... y riding perilously high, balancing blind-folded, one-footed, and juggling atop its peak.
Harlequin can be booked for stage acts, ambient sets, and his multidisciplinary nature makes him a great team player and cast for ensemble pieces.

Harlequin Grim - Juggler - South Miami, Florida Event Location: Portland, Oregon Event Type: Birthday Party 22nd December 2023

You’d be so lucky to have them at your event We hired Grim Theatre for my husband's 40th birthday party - a Great Gatsby themed murder mystery party at our house. Quin and Lea are amazing. They are both so friendly and warm, and just the kind of people that you would want at any party. They were so friendly and professional from the very first phone call - they both really love what they do and it shows. They were super open and flexible to what our vision for the party was, and how they could support it. They even came dressed up like our theme, which was so sweet. We all decided that Quin would be in our driveway on his unicycle juggling and just kind of welcoming guests to the party - and then Lea was inside in the living room doing her contortionist work. They did such a good job of engaging all sorts of people - I saw Lea chatting with our friends while she was in impossible positions, and have sweet photos of Quin sharing his juggling balls with our 1 year old daughter ...

Harlequin Grim - Juggler - South Miami, Florida Event Location: Hollywood Theatre Event Type: Public Event 16th June 2022

Quin's 6 ft. unicycle and led juggling skills were beyond impressive and the perfect touch of whimsy for our Street Party event. He juggled while on a 6 ft unicycle and stayed up there forever. Who can do that??!!! Amazing!! What I most enjoyed in working with Quin was his positive, supportive personality and the enthusiasm and passion he brought to the event. His yearning to go above and beyond was noticed from the very beginning and was observed throughout the entire process. I asked for casual engagement with all our guests, and he took initiative and even unicycled down a public sidewalk to our second event location inspiring even more people to take notice of our free public event, which was not asked at all but truly appreciated. Plus, he was incredibly considerate in helping us achieve our goals while staying within our budget and he was super mindful regarding payment details. I am hoping that I can find any reason. I am hoping that I can find any reason to work with him again.

BIOGRAPHY
Having left home with only a single month’s rent at 17 years-old, Harley learned two things very quickly: the miraculous role that creating art plays in surviving hardship, and that persistence breathes life into that miracle.
Harlequin rediscovered his passion for circus just before the world shut down in 2020. Before becoming an entertainer, he formerly was an undertaker for 80+ funeral homes across the pacific northwest.
After meeting a former Cirque du Soleil clown, Harley worked under him for two years at JaJa Circus in Portland, Oregon, and committed himself to trainin ... g relentlessly until he broke into the performance industry. Also author of a bestselling novel The Black Carnival and content creator with a broad audience, Harley’s dedication to his art echoes his belief that “In circus, nothing is impossible.”
