Biography

Ismael Muñiz is a jazz guitarist/composer originally from Austin, TX, and has been bringing his old-time, good-time gypsy jazz swing music to audiences since 2014. Inspired by the late, great Django Reinhardt, Ismael often includes classic gypsy jazz standards in his repertoire, as well as mixing in other traditional music from all around the world. Ismael's captivating, high-energy performances transport audiences back in time as he blends musicianship, creativity and tradition.

Experience

With about a decade of experience as a professional guitarist, I have performed at a variety of events, including weddings, private parties, and corporate events. Additionally, I have experience playing in jazz clubs and music venues. I have also had the opportunity to play with other musicians, both as a band leader and as a sideman. This has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how to create cohesive and engaging performances. I am also very experienced with improvisation which helps me to create new and exciting variations of the songs for each performance.

I offer a wide range of recording and production services. I am well-versed in a variety of musical styles and am able to make music with a wide variety of instruments. Additionally, I am able to offer remote recording and producing services, allowing clients to work with me online and receive high-quality audio recordings and productions without ever having to leave the comfort of their own home. My services include, but are not limited to:

Recording: I can record a wide range of instruments, including guitar, piano, drums, bass, violin, accordion, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, sax, trombone, trumpet, organ, tres, mandolin, cuatro, pedal steel, banjo etc.

Producing: I can produce any style of music, whether it's rock, pop, jazz, hip-hop, gypsy jazz, bebop, bossa nova, samba, funk, soul, blues, rnb, indie, bluegrass, country, cumbia, rumba, punk, ska, classical etc.

Songwriting: I can also help with songwriting and composition. I've helped people record whole albums with only a few short a capella ideas they recorded on their phone.
