We´re a jazz quartet. We really like to swing the things up, we adapt old standards in modern styles and in different rhythms, a new and fresh way to hear them. Latin, pop, rock and every kind of tune no matter the genre, we add our flavor too and put it a jazzy sound, always making it cool, interesting and full of energy for the audience. Other style of music we love is the brazilian: the bossa nova and the samba.

Biography

The band Ikal Jazz born in september of 2016 in the city of Caracas. This ensemble begin with the need of studying the genre of Jazz from its inception in the 20´s until today, passing through the swing era, bebop, cool, fusion and every subgenre in it. We also interpret brazilian music, Bossa Nova and Samba compositions.
Now the band is going further with all these influences, and with differents rhythms, is making versions of pop tunes of all times, bringing to the audience a new, different and fresh way to hear these songs.
Because of our band´s format we have to arrenge all the tunes ... he played for a small combo. But don´t worry, all tunes can be played without losing the essence, we make sure to have the same intensity, and add a new interisting thing in every one of them.
Always looking new sounds, new songs, new music to hear and play, to enrich our musicality and give a great show for the audience.
