Experience

Josie Jo is an aerialist and fire performer based in Miami. As an aerialist, she specializes in lyra and straps. She has additional skills in duo straps, aerial silks, and the aerial lollipop. Extending her skills, she performs fire with fire fans, palm torches, a fire umbrella, fire eating and fire breathing.
Beginning her training in 2015 with Angels Entertainment, Josie continued expanding her practice with many other, well-known, companies and circus schools, such as Rainbow Circus, Miami Circus Arts Center (LADD), and Acro Gravity Academy, all based in Miami. In 2017, she traveled to ... Costa Rica for an Aerial Artistry Retreat with Sweet Retreats by Kerri Kresinski at Airborne Arts, and then to Colorado in 2019 for an aerial hoop workshop with Elsie Smith for the Annual Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance Festival.
As she grew into the circus community, she found opportunities to learn fire. Josie has trained with professionals such as, UK's Shade Flamewater, Fearless Fire Retreat's Thomas Santiago, Remy Connor, and the infamous Lior Littman.
Josie has performed for many occasions, for the community, holidays, birthdays, weddings, private events, and showcases in Miami and in Costa Rica. She has been featured in LADD's Christmas Classics Holiday Showcase in 2021. She's currently featured in various shows with Nocturna Cabaret, such as Blush, Obscura, and Kosmos Cabaret in 2024.
