Hello, I'm Kevin Barry. I am a very experienced solo singer / guitarist playing to my self-produced backing tracks. I have a large repertoire of songs, specialising in nostalgia and the vintage years. I can perform a 'Rat Pack' show of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble hits, sprinkled with a few other hit makers such as Tony Christie and Joe Longhorn. I also have a 50s & 60s show, with lots of classic party songs, sprinkled with a few country songs and the odd disco song, guaranteed to fill the dance floor. I can also perform a show of old time, Music Hall and WW2 songs. Many of the ... se songs I learned from my grandad from a young age. Or, I can perform a show with a mixture of these sets. Just let me know your preferences and I'll always do my best to exceed your expectations.
I have an enhanced DBS (CRB), insurance and I use only top quality equipment, which is PAT tested where necessary. I have a lot of experience of performing in all sorts of venues, big and small, and working with all sorts of clients, from one-off events and parties to residencies and seasons. I've been singing since I was a tot, whether I was asked to or not! I was in my first professional function band for nearly 20 years, winning various awards along the way and playing all sorts of venues and functions from clubs to parties to weddings and corporate events. I was also in a very successful duo for 7 years and we played holiday parks and hotels all over the UK. I love entertaining people and helping them to leave their cares and step back into by gone days and nostalgia for an hour or two. Life seems to be get very serious these days and music and laughter can help us all to get things into perspective and forget about our troubles for a little while. They will be there waiting for another day! As well as singing, I am a motivational speaker and professional trainer, and the two activities are very well connected!
