LaNette Hester performed for our Daddy Daughter Dance on February11, 2023. She sang 3 songs and kept the audience engaged and on the dance floor. Our guest for this event ranged in age from 3 yrs old to 85 yrs old. All bouncing to the beat of her songs. They seemed to really like the melody of all songs and LaNette lit up the stage when she sang. 5 Stars all around for song choice, engagement, stage presence, appearance and vocals

LaNette Hester, has a style all of her own. When she steps on the stage she fills the room with so much energy and excitement and once she shares her gift of singing and dancing, everyone in the room are up on their feet dancing and singing along with her. She is an exemplar in her craft who changes the atmosphere with her beautiful voice. LaNette can engage all audiences whether you were on a cruise ship having dinner and ready to dance, she has you covered or if you were in a conference that needs someone to shift the atmosphere, a romantic evening for couples or even in your church. She is very diverse and can enlighten and inspire and room. LaNette has sung at four of my women’s conferences and this year she will be performing again in a room filled with business leaders. We are excited and look forward to our next performance with Ms. LaNette Hester.

Meet the Act

My strong desire to sing started at the age of 8 and stems from watching and admiring Diana Ross on television and decided that I wanted to sing and dress like the great Diana Ross. At age 18, I changed the “N” in my name from Lanette to LaNette because I thought it would look better in lights. For years now, I have been building my portable vision board (3 ring binder) with dreams, goals and aspirations.
In 2018 while on a vaction with friends, I mentioned the reoccuring dream of singing on the stage at Carnegie Hall in a gold gown. One of our friends says, "Start looking for your gown. ... You don't prepare for rain without an umbrella, right?". One Saturday in August while looking for the gold gown in my dream, I submitted my "Favor" music video to DCINY (Distinguised Concerts International - New York) for a potential opportunity to sing at Carneige Hall. The following week, I was contacted by DCINY to set up a conference call to discuss the possibility. Within four days, I received an email of congratuations for being selected to sing at the Robert Ray's Gospel Mass at Carnegie Hall with DCINY. On June 9, 2019, I was in New York with 37 family and friends that came to support my dream becoming a reality.
