Biography

Laura was born and raised in a small South Australian country town on the Murray River.
At 5 years of age, she joined her local Calisthenics Club where she competed for several years before moving onto Competitive Artistic Gymnastics and Modern Dance.
Laura also commenced vocal training at the age of 8 and experimented in learning a variety of different instruments. She continued this into her teen years through to adulthood.
Laura began training as an aerialist in Adelaide and after training aerial tissu/silks and pole dance for several years, she was introduced to the circus world at an A ... delaide Fringe Festival in 2020 and instantly fell in love.
She began training at the South Australian Circus Centre and continued her training as an Aerialist. Laura dove into the world of full-time artist in 2021 after stepping back from her long-term occupation as an Emergency Veterinary Nurse.
Fortunately, she has already had the opportunity to work with several well-known companies on a variety of different productions.
Laura has found herself to be a generalist in the circus industry, focusing on aerials, pole dance, cabaret, and contemporary dance and movement. More recently she has found herself exploring new disciplines such as, contortion, hand balancing and acrobatics, to name a few.
She has also trained in doubles trapeze, flying trapeze, Chinese Pole, Perch, and trick riding.
Laura is passionate about creating unusual and weird art and loves getting behind a camera, whether that be behind the lens or in front. Laura would best describe herself as a determined but organised hurricane.
