After graduating in the University I have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, Seychelles including other African countries performing in big ceremonies, gala, exhibitions and many Awards ceremonies. Though my training and talent draws from theatrical background, I still consider myself a versatile artist/ dancer, hence my experience over the years has taken me to work and travel with internationally acclaimed choreographers and theatre productions where I gained more skills including acting. Besides travelling around the world performing, I have taught and contemporary and African dance a ... s a part time lecturer at Oakfields College for 3 and half year, including Tshwane University of Technology where I taught African dance, contemporary and stage work for Dance 1 and MT1 (first years).

While traveling with the production of ''African My Love'' Europe under Schlote Productions I had the privilege to lend a character as a right hand man to King in the production. As we jet to Seychelles with the cast of ''Saturday Night Fever'' as a dancer, I also fortunate to get a role as an actor in the new production of ''Mama Mia'' while we were still in Seychelles. I have also done a couple of commercial ads as a main feature actor for the ABSA Bank in South Africa, playing as home coming dad. Other commercials I've done here in Dubai includes, Fly Dubai airline, Kirloskar and Dubai Tou ... rism.
I have been privileged to be featured in one of the commercial modelling for Nike in South Africa and Apple week promotion which was a week long commercial in Sandton South Africa. Recently while I visited home in SA since I've been working in Dubai from 2016 up to date, I also took part in South African Fashion Week as a dancer and model under Function Junxion Entertainment.

Contemporary and African dance class
I like to start my class with a very basic and easy warm-up, moving on to small jumps, big jumps and into the corner jumps and high kicks. Once the body is warm enough, we move back into centre for a nice and controlled movement which includes release technique and sometimes I like to explore movement that challenges dancers by testing balance, strength and technique.
All these exploration movements happen during the creation of a dance combination, also allowing them to be creative by adding their own movement in the process. And finish the class with a nice and good stretch.
When teaching African dance, I like to always remind them in the beginning of the class that African dance is very grounded and can be heavy on the body if done not properly. Above all else, just enjoy it or the process of it cause that's what makes it easy and fun do/perform. And remember it not about counting it or how good you can count but with African it all about rhythm, that where your count is and that where you find joy once you understand the rhythm.
