Description

I have a wide ranging vocal ability and can turn my hand to almost every style of singing from jazz to pop, rock to musical. I have considerable experience as a cruise ship entertainer singing in a variety of shows as well as cabaret. I have also sung as jazz band lead vocalist.

Experience

I am a dynamic and passionate singer able to turn my hand to many different styles including rock, pop and musical theatre. I have a particular skill in ‘Rat Pack’ style performing and initiated a very popular ‘Rat Pack’ cabaret act for CMV Cruises where I worked for 2 years until the pandemic.
I was a key entertainer working closely with others at CMV to produce shows, theatre, vocal performances, comedy, quizzes and games every day. The most recent cruise was the 78 day Grand Africa and Indian Ocean Cruise. We produced in excess of 50 shows during difficult circumstances and with ... last minute changes due to the pandemic. This drew upon my skills of team-work, collaboration and flexibility as well as requiring consistent application every day. I received excellent customer feedback both as part of the team and in my own right.
Other relevant experience
2016 - 2018: Vocalist with Farnham Big Band
Singing with a range of excellent musicians, allowing me to demonstrate my versatility and performing skills
Autumn 2016: Teaching at a school in Nepal (5 weeks)
I travelled to Nepal and stayed with other volunteers, teaching under-privileged children English and supporting with extra-curricular activities
2013 – 2016: Performing stand-up comedy and recording podcasts for BBC Radio Lancashire and City Beat Radio, Preston.
