Fred Zimmerman | The Chicago Mentalist is a respected Chicago actor who has appeared in National Broadway Touring Companies, Regional & Stock Companies, and in theaters across Chicagoland.
He can also be seen on several Hit NBC Series, including Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.
When he's not onstage getting into the heads of his characters, he's getting into the heads ... of his audience at corporate & private events.
Fred combines his actors' observation skills with sneaky psychology and little-known tools and tactics to create the experience of psychic phenomenon.

Fred gave a highly engaging, entertaining, and professional performance for our group, and the feedback from attendees was universally positive. It was the perfect post-dinner entertainment for our ~20-person corporate event. Each of the different mentalist tricks were progressively more awe-inspiring, and the overall routine moved along at a good pace. Fred's witty comments and dialogue between and during tricks kept everyone engaged throughout. It was also a nice touch that he personalized the routine to our group and company. We've hired many different types of entertainment over the years but this was our first 'mentalist' - we would definitely engage Fred again and would highly recommend him to others.

Fred is expensive and worth the money; I guess you get what you pay for. At least one fourth of my guests have called me for Fred's contact number, and everyone thought he was great. By great- I mean, personable, talented, engaging, and kept everyone at ease; there are no awkward moments. Also Fred has a nice sense of humor. I would not hesitate to hire him again. And by the way, a friend of mine mentioned that Fred has a beautiful singing voice- she heard him elsewhere So a multitalented individual I highly recommend him.

Fred Zimmerman is a respected Chicago actor who has spent over 25 years acting in National Broadway Touring Companies, at Regional Theaters, Stock Companies, and in theaters across Chicagoland, including Goodman, Court, Northlight, Porchlight, the Lyric Opera, the Oriental (now named the Nederlander), 18 productions at the Chicago Marriott Theatre, as well as Chicago's famed Auditorium Theatre.
