Merry Annette is a true generalist and offers a wide-variety of acts and entertainment. Available disciplines include: Aerial acrobatics (silks, cube, hoop, harness, sling, rope, and other apparatuses on demand), Contortion/Duo Contortion, Dance (classical and contemporary ballet, modern, commercial and theatre jazz, Broadway tap, pointe, pas de deux, show girl style entertainment and dance groups), vocal performance (musical theatre and 80s covers, alto/mezzo), acting, comedy, and public speaking engagements.
She is available for events, theatrical productions, concerts, festivals, and fi ... lm/TV appearances.

Biography

Hi! I’m Merry and I am a storyteller. I am in my third season as a dancer and circus artist with Allegro Dance Project and frequently perform with Sora Contemporary. I started performing with sing-a-long VHS tapes in my living room in Eastern Kentucky and never stopped. The stage was a safe space for me to find myself again after leaving an abusive marriage. Now, I strive to leave audiences with a feeling of magic and elevated energy. I believe in the power that art has to change audiences, performers, and communities. My favorite roles have been Rasputin in an aerial theatre production of A ... nastasia with Sora Aerial Arts and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls with Woodford Theatre. When I’m not on stage you’ll find me traveling for gigs or to train in Las Vegas and NYC or locally, training with Lexington Ballet and Sora Aerial Arts; you might also find me in the classroom, where I teach public speaking as a faculty lecturer at the university.

I saw Meredith perform at a charity event in Indianapolis. This gala was a real who's who, with several famous folks in attendance. My eyes kept darting back and forth between a pro football player and Meredith, because he was so captivated by her contortion routine. You could tell it was admiration from one athlete to another. Meredith is insanely talented.

I saw Merry perform as a contortionist and aerialist at the Night Circus and she was incredible! Her movements are captivating and she has such an incredible way of drawing the audience into her performance. She's an outstanding performer, so flexible and truly enchanting to watch!

Merry has over 20 years of on stage experience. She has a background in Vaganova ballet from Bluegrass Youth Ballet. Merry trains with top coaches and teachers from Cirque Du Soleil and Broadway.
