Show Description

“Mr Looper” is a show that only needs an acoustic guitar, a looper, an octaver and a musician who can play and sing. I use loopers and octavers in a creative way in order to achieve a more lively sound to connect more with audience.
I’m a very open minded and a very flexible musician and I love all styles of music: (rock, jazz, pop, r&b, disco, metal, bossa nova, latin, samba...) so I’m able to play any of these genres in my shows (I can also do specific shows of any of these genres if I am required to) and I can sing and interact with the audience in English, Spanish, French or Por ... tuguese.
In my shows I try to interact as much as possible with the audience because I think that a very important part of a show is the way you connect with the people you are trying to entertain. I try to make the audience part of the show by talking to them, by asking them to sing along or by making competitions between them.

Biography

My name is Pau Mas, I am 23 years old and I am from Barcelona. I have a degree in electric guitar interpretation (Jazz and Modern Music) at “ESEM Taller de Músics” (with piano and singing as second instruments).
I’ve done more than 200 shows in my life, playing mostly electric guitar, but also playing acoustic guitar and singing (with loopers), playing keys and electric bass. I've done the majority of these shows with a band called "Ovella Xao", with which I have played in the most important stages of Catalonia. I also sang in the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat” by Andrew Lloyd Weber playing the roles of “Reuben” and “Pharaon” in “Teatre del Sol” in Sabadell, played guitar in the musical “Tick tick boom” by Jonathan Larsson in “Teatre Gaudí” in Barcelona, and I've worked with a lot of other bands and projects too.
I've been working since I was 17 as a music teacher and I am currently working as an electric guitar, combo and piano teacher in “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (the second most important private school in Catalonia). I play five instruments; guitar, keys/piano, singing, electric bass and drums.
