Biography

The founder of Basement 360, Fernando Hernandez is an icon in the local music scene. Passionate about making music, Fernando Hernandez has been in the music and DJ industry for 20 years. Fernando started DJing at the young age of 16.
Since then, Fernando has been DJing at various clubs, parties, raves, corporate events, fashion shows, festivals, parades and sports games in South Africa.
Fernando Hernandez is now rated one of the best Bootleg DJ’s in South Africa and is currently also rated # 1 Gospel DJ in the Western Cape.

On April 2007, Fernando Hernandez won an award for best DJ in the Western Cape and started Basement 360, which became well-known in the Western Cape and DJ community.
In 2004 Fernando became part of a local radio station called Eden FM where he served as DJ, Producer, Music Compiler and later became also Events Coordinator for the station.
He was part of the stations line up for 11 years.

One of Fernando Hernandez dreams is to inspire people to do what they are passionate about and in 2010 Fernando launched an Youth Radio station called Swagg Radio, which main aims are to promote young, up and coming Artist in a big way, help them grow as artists and reach their full potential and their dreams.
Fernando is a versatile DJ and plays house music ranging from deep, funky tech, to electro and progressive house.
Fernando has extensive DJing experience with the South African market
