Biography

Mohamed Ismat is a Dancer(choreographer) Yoga instructor, Aerobics instructor, community health and social worker
BACKGROUND INFO;
Born 25 years ago and raised in Mombasa County, coastal Kenya. He went to Burhaniyah primary school and Tudor day High school.
DANCE TALENT JOURNEY;
Started Dancing at an early age in high school. He had passion for dance but after high school he joined Ammarcom institute to pursue his further education. In his life journey, he met people from all walk of life who invested their time in helping him exploit his talent in Dance. To him that was a dream ... came true as they motivated him.

CHALLENGES;
His challenges came at the early stages of his dancing career especially for him as an upcoming artist was getting a place where to get trained with a dance crew since he didn’t know anyone in the industry but now he knows a couple of them and started dancing since 2010 At G-cleff dance crew, then after 3 years he joined Dabs dancers 2013 and finally in 2014 joined Dabs allstars until up to date, but now he is working on solo projects.
He was being trained by world reknown Choreographers; Tero Saarinen from Finland and Marieke Van der ven from Holland
ROLE MODELS AND INSPIRATION
As an inspiration and role models of dance crews who have accompolished their dreams and attained goals in and out side the country

His inspiration comes from normal events like love, friendship, heart break and life struggles. Also he was featured in several dance competition: Sakata East Africa Mashariki dance competition season, Katika dance show season, Orange beat ya street, Sarakasi dome, Talanta event dance show at Mombasa and now he is the founder of Break Session Mombasa.
His best friend and role model is none other than Abdikalif Adan

I was born in Kenya and grew up in Coast. Throughout my life I always felt electrified by Dance so when growing up, I start teaching it in 2013 and from that day till now my life become an adventure, travelling all around the world teaching Dance.
I moved to Nairobi in October 2014 in order to look for innovative and stimulating prospects.
My interests include:Swimming, reading, playing Football, watching movies, listening to music, and I am crazy about Beachvolleyball. Furthermore, teaching as well as dancing Break dance and African are my real passions.
I take great pleasure in teaching where I have the opportunity to share my knowledge,skills and love for
BreakDance(Bboying). The foundation of my teaching is history and musicality as I believe that this is fundamental for a top quality dancer. I started my teaching career in November 2015
and since then I have the opportunity to teach in numerous congresses such as Africadancer, Aga khan Academy school Festival, Beach Festival,etc
PROMOTING DANCE
My life as a promoter of Dance started a few years ago in Mombasa, where I used to organize a selection of events such as Break session, parties and workshops which I successfully continued in here. In 2016 I started a project with My friend called Coming to your hood which was quite successful as it consisted of Breakdance lessons and social dancing in which I am continuing.
Iam the founder of Break session Mombasa and Dabs all stars Crew. A group formed with the intention of delivering the traditional Break dance through teaching and performance. MY main objective when teaching is to facilitate and encourage student’s learning by acknowledging the origins of the music and dance. Moreover, when performing, the main purpose is to demonstrate the splendor of the dance and what might be the end result of the student’s hard work.
MY team grow up from a dance group to a register company now .
I also taught nationally in a variety of counties such as Mombasa,Nairobi,Malindi,voi etc.
My aim is to conquer the world with Dance.
Teaching Dance is being an exciting adventure as I have the great satisfaction in meeting and working with wonderful people!
