Biography

Mysterious, exciting, and theatrical presentations are the very essences of magic that captivated Doug from the very first time he was introduced to the art. Doug continues to find his self motivated by not only the mystery of magic but also the performance. About fifteen years ago an acquaintance showed him a magic trick. This encounter sparked his interest at age 16 and he has been performing magic ever since. He started as a hobbyist performing magic for family and friends. Upon graduating high school Doug went to Rutgers University after being recruited for his talent in football.
Duri ... ng his few years as a football player magic continued to be a driving force in his life and he soon discovered that it was his calling and not just a hobby.
Doug’s ambition to become a better magician showcased through his work ethic over the years. In the beginning phases he gained experience by street performing during the summer at boardwalks and festivals and honed his presentation and technique during privately booked events year round. Doug’s skill and character landed him bookings with some big names including The Philadelphia Eagles, Verizon and many other schools, corporations and organizations. These experiences led to Doug creating his own show.
Wonder of Imagination was born. Doug strives to be unique in his experience as he focuses on the audiences view from their seats and how he could add more interactive elements to the show that might enhance the viewers experience and engagement. With that mindset, Doug has been invited to perform at Universal Studios Orlando and Walt Disney World. He continues to evolve and find places to push the envelope where others have not focused.
Doug is a talented individual who shares his skill with the world and the fact that he travels with his family and provides an engaging show is just the tip of the iceberg. We hope you get to experience the character and comedy of Doug Wonder.
