Biography

Matt Johnson is originally from the UK but now resides in Vancouver, Canada. Matt has been performing and perfecting his craft in the art of Magic and Escapology for more than 20 years.
Over the past 20 years he has literally traveled the globe performing in exotic locations such as Japan, UK, Canada, Dubai, Argentina and Australia and for companies such as Norwegian Cruise Lines, Mercedes, Ford, AT&T, Toyota and Microsoft to name just a few.
On his travels around the world his knowledge of the arts grew and he picked up techniques and skills from the countries he visited and the people ... he met along the way. It’s this unique perspective that has allowed Matt to make his performances completely unique and utterly captivating.
Not your typical magician, instead Matt has crafted a style know as Urban Deception. A refreshingly cool mix of urban style street magic combined with the comedic timing and slick stage presence of a seasoned corporate performer.

Matt is originally from the UK and has lived in BC, Canada for the past 25 years.
When not performing all over the world Matt loves to spend time with his family in BC. He can usually be found walking his dog Yogi, kayaking, hiking, skiing, playing VR or hanging out in his Star Wars room (he's a bit of a geek)
He has also recently become a very proud grandfather :)
