Pippa Griffin

Biography

Pippa is a musician from London, beginning violin lessons at the age of five she soon developed her passion for music, going on to join many orchestras and eventually leading the Townley Symphony Orchestra and Bexley Youth Orchestra when she was seventeen. During her time in the Bexley Music Service at Bird College, Pippa toured across Europe and has performed in venues from the Royal Festival Hall to St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice and performed with the renowned London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle in Trafalgar Square.
Pippa has a First Class (Honours) in BMus Music Per ... formance (Classical Violin) from the London College of Music, where she also achieved a Diploma in Conducting. She is experienced in a range of genres, including solo and orchestral repertoire, musical theatre, pop and chamber. She is currently in the West London Sinfonia, Hounslow Symphony Orchestra, regularly plays in the London Musical Theatre Orchestra Sitz Workshops and also played in the London College of Music’s Camerata and String Ensemble. Recent musicals Pippa has played in include Legally Blonde (violin), Merrily We Roll Along (bass guitar) and American Idiot (viola).
Pippa takes part in a lot of recording sessions, including the Official Album for the Musical ‘Driven’ by Archer and Redica, and has recorded in Abbey Road Studios for groups such as Novelty Island. She has recently recorded a music video at the Asylum Chapel for Jan Willem de With.
She regularly performs in events such as weddings both as a soloist and as part of her String Quartet, 'Belle Quartet'.
Combining her passion for arranging, performing and recording, Pippa creates music videos which she shares across her social media platforms. Pippa plays a 2018 Jay Haide violin, Ted Brewer Vivo Air electric violin and a 2014 Jay Haide viola. Read More
