Entertainment is critical to the success of your party, I know how special your event is to you, my primary aim is to make sure that you and your guests have an enjoyable event.
Great sound and lighting gives your event a professional touch. I spend a lot of time looking for great lighting effects, I use state of the art equipment.
I have a large selection of lights to help illuminate your dance floor and build the perfect party atmosphere. Fog / Haze machines are used where possible to enhance the atmosphere, although it is important to note that some venues do not allow the use of them.
Many of my lights are intelligent lights which are pre programmed and controlled with a DMX controller. I may use laser lights and strobe effects.
I carry backup equipment in case of failure. All my equipment is regularly tested for safety. With years of experience, I can help make your party rock!
I am Charlie Paterson, owner and DJ.
The first record which I bought in the early 80's, was a second hand rock n roll album. When I started working I bought a lot of rock n roll on tapes ( do you remember tapes?) - listening to Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis & Fats Domino to name a few on my Sony Walkman.
I started working in the Hotel Industry serving food and drinks at functions, weddings and parties. This is where I first started to like loud music.
My first disco light in the late 80's was a piece of plywood covered in tinfoil with 6 lightbulbs on it connected to a ... pulsar sound to light unit. I played music with a double tape deck and a dodgy old record player. I was the go to man for parties and often got into trouble from the hotel managers where I worked for playing music too loud.
My second disco in the 90's was a bit more advanced and was actually a credible setup for that period.
I was part of the rave scene in Leeds in the early 90's - this is where my love for dance music and big sound systems grew.
I spent 12 years working in hotels, listening to cheesy music every weekend, understanding what makes parties work.
In 1997 my career changed, I went into the IT industry, I'm still working for the same company today. We supply meeting room management systems to conference venues, hotels and some of the worlds best known Blue Chip companies.
Nowadays my equipment is state of the art, I invest heavilly in intelligent lighting and plan to keep investing to ensure that you the customer get the best experience possible.
These days I have an appreciation for all kinds of music, with an ever increasing music collection, way past 800 cd's ranging from the 50's to present day charts, through to the latest banging tunes straight from Miami.
There's something there for everybody - and if I don't have what you want I'll make sure I get it for you!
