Lucinda started playing the harp at the age of 7 at the ‘late’ Choir School under the guidance of Georgina Goodier (Wells). She is now at the University of Hull reading Music where she achieved the Harp Scholarship and studies with Rachel Dent.
Lucinda has been on 2 week long harp residential courses with 7 other international students and studying under the teaching of the world-renowned harpist, Catrin Finch, and her teacher, Elinor Bennett, in Wales. She has also played with many orchestras including the Royal Northern Sinfonia, North Yorkshire County Orchestra, St Cecilia, School or ... chestras and more recently in Hull Philharmonic
She began playing the organ after being awarded a Choral Scholarship at Harrogate Ladies’ College that allowed her to take organ lessons. Now she has organ lessons at Beverly Minster with the Director of Music there, Robert Poyser having gained a bursary from the university.
Being a choral Scholar meant she also sang in the school’s chapel choir and sang live on a BBC Radio 3 broadcast. She was also a member of the Ripon Cathedral Girls Choir here and then a founding member of the Cathedral Consort.
Lucinda plays for many different functions such as weddings and other celebratory events and dinners.
