Set list currently includes approximately 350 crowd favorites for clientele familiar with British and North American pop-rock, classic rock, country-rock, R&B and up-tempo blues music. No originals.
With her rich vocal stylings, not to mention her acoustic/electric guitar and harmonica playing, Deborah Gold pays tribute to the influential artists who shaped rock, pop, blues, country and other genres from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and beyond. Deborah engages and delights audiences with her energetic and obvious passion for playing live as a solo, in a duo or in a full band, either acoustically or plugged in.
In the early 1980’s, Deborah’s all female duo toured extensively in BC and Alberta on a full-time basis. Subsequent to that, Deborah played in numerous Vancouver-based bands ... such as The Crawl, The Runaway Slaves and Blue Monday, most of which featured a bluesy repertoire. Deborah also played with Tattered Ass, based near Victoria BC, for a few years prior to relocating off the Island in 2014.
More recently, Deborah has focussed on solo and duo work, based in Kelowna, BC, but playing in a variety of locations, including multiple solo residencies at resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico during the winter months.
She has often been referred to as the “triple threat”, being amongst a small group of artists with equal prowess at singing and playing both guitar and blues harp. Having these abilities adds an exciting dimension to the musicality, be it solo, duo or in a full band scenario, always resulting in entertaining and popular live performances.
From singing along with radio songs as a child with an innate ability to harmonize by ear, Deborah has been influenced by many musicians throughout her life more notably, and in no particular order– Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Snow, Linda Ronstadt, Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, America, Bonnie Raitt, Judy Collins, Led Zeppelin, The Eagles, Dusty Springfield, Stevie Nicks, James Taylor, Karen Carpenter, Fleetwood Mac, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Laura Nero, Three Dog Night, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Susan Tedeschi.
Extensive solo and resort work in Mexico and the Caribbean as well as solo, duo and band work in Western Canada and Phoenix, AZ over the past 20+ years.

In order to maintain sound and show quality, we travel with all our own gear. The venue must provide a quality PA system with 5 XLR inputs. We typically use our own soundboard, IEM's, mic stands, cabling etc etc.
