I’m a professional wedding and party DJ specialising in dance floor filler tunes from through the decades, playing the tunes, you and your guests want to hear and dance to. I am able to provide a disco for you using my own high-end equipment and depending on the size of the room will depend on what equipment is needed. I am able to provide videos and pictures of previous events in fact I produce a blog each week with pictures and videos of the previous weeks parties / weddings.
As standard I use a pair of high end Yamaha DXR12 speakers and most of the time a Yamaha DXS15 Sub ... but depending on the room size, but I can also add additional speakers when needed, this is often needed once the event gets to be above 200 people.
Lighting is also an important factor for any dance floor and again depending on the size of the room I can provide a full lighting rig with various feature lights and moving heads but as standard I use a Chauvet Gigbar with a Chauvet 4play lighting system as this provides more than enough lighting for most function rooms. This can also be complimented with moving heads and mood lighting around the room, should you wish to see a video or some pictures of any of these setups please let me know.
Why not make your event pop with a confetti canon or maybe you would like the effect of dancing on a cloud?
Unlike many DJ’s these days I do not use a laptop instead I use a Pioneer XDJ RX unit that allows me to select and mix the tunes live. You want a DJ who can read a dance floor and make a party happen, you are not paying someone to click a mouse on a laptop using some DJ software and a streaming service - you can probably do that yourself or at least one of your friends can!
Play Lists & Music
Many clients like to let me know about some special tunes that they would like included, this is great especially for first dances at weddings or someone’s significant birthday or an anniversary event. You may even want me to stick to certain genre of music, again this is great but I would need to know roughly what you are after at time of booking for example 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Dance, R&B, EDM, Cheese, Current Pop, etc… If you said you wanted a night or a night of Country Music I would refer you to other DJ’s who specialises in those genre as knowing passionately the music you play is extremely important for having a busy successful dancefloor and that can make a party!
I don't have a 'Set-List' that I work to but infact I taylor each events music to the requirments of the event organisors requirments which is normally the bride and groom and their friends.
From my very first days in the industry helping as a DJ’s assistant, setting up gigs, carrying boxes of vinyl, through to being booked for exclusive corporate parties and eventually headline DJ at large events DJing to hundreds of people in various cities from Liverpool to London the one and most important thing is I have always loved music and being at amazing parties.
I currently am one of the headline DJ's for the 'Back to the 80s Events' and 'The Big 90s Night Out! Christmas Parties'.
