I believe in me more than anything in this world.
— Wilma Rudolph

My whole life I have been looked at differently. As a young child I was judged and told I’d never achieve my goals because I was a “cripple”. The word “cripple” was constantly used as a negative word in my life. But as an adult I have owned that word. I have transformed that word into something positive. CRIPPLED IS BEAUTIFUL, I am beautiful.

In life we are thrown obstacles after obstacles whether we are white, black, hispanic, disabled, able-bodied, mentally challenged, physically challenged. The list can go on. If the word CRIPPLED has ever been used against you in a hurtful/harmful way just remember that YOU are beautiful. YOU are worth it. YOU matter. YOU can create your own happiness.
