Biography

DJ Rehmidi began collecting Hip-Hop, R&B and Dancehall records in 2003 at the age of 13, learning to mix and scratch before securing a residency at Infinity Sudbury, UK. Playing for a mainstream crowd, he began to implement and mix between other genres including House, Techno and Drum & Bass. By 2008, he had worked alongside numerous DJs from Kiss Radio and MTV, as well as warming up for UK guest-acts including Wiley and DJ EZ.
Rehmidi moved to Derby in 2010 to study Music Production, still performing at bars and clubs, adapting his sets to the emerging popularity of Dubstep, Electro and De ... ep House. He was placed on a weekly line-up of DJs for specialised EDM nights in the city, and also hosted his own weekly two-hour show on the University of Derby’s radio station.
By 2015, Rehmidi was employed as a full-time DJ for Marella Cruises, where he incorporated Funk, Soul, Rock, Reggae and Latin for a completely mixed clientele. Having also worked for P&O Cruises Australia, his cruising experience allowed him to travel all around Europe, the Caribbean and South Pacific, entertaining thousands of holidaymakers along the way.
Since moving to Koh Samui Thailand in 2019, Rehmidi has secured DJ gigs at the famous Ark Bar, Seen Beach Club, Cocoon & Lost Beach Bar playing Urban, Latin, Caribbean and House genres alongside some of Thailand’s top DJs. This experience broadened his musical knowledge dramatically, and became pivotal in the development of his versatility as a DJ. He now currently produces and hosts his own show on community radio Cambridge 105, where he oversees all aspects of putting out a weekly hourlong broadcast.
