ReeTrain Trio was founded in the summer of 2015. The members of our band are László Sipos (electric double bass), Zoltán Maros (piano, vocal) and myself, Réka Feuerstein (vocal, flute, bandleader). Since September of 2015 we’ve been working for AIDA Cruises, and we’re also in contact with Color Line Cruises, Tallink & Silja Line and TUI Cruises. We had met before 2015 in a jazz band, we’d played together on the ferries of Color Line. László and Zoltán also used to work for several companies like Costa Cruises, P&O Cruises, Viking Line and Tallink-Silja in different formations.
As ... for myself, I had collected a lot of ship experience (Tallink-Silja, DFDS) before starting ReeTrain, mostly as lead vocalist in show bands. But, of course, as a graduated jazz singer (I got my degree at Kodolányi János University – Department of Jazz Performance and Singing), I feel myself closer to trio music, so I’m happy to use my skills in the common work with my partners.
The conception of ReeTrain is to serve elegant and high-quality but still entertaining, easy acoustic music to our audience. Beside the well known timeless jazz evergreens we have a number of pop covers on repertoire, based on No1 hits of the last few years and previous decades.
