Biography

Stefan Sullivan studied church organ with Emory Fanning at Middlebury College and Nagi Hakim (chief organist, Sacre Coeur Cathedral, Paris) and continued his jazz studies with Peter Edelman and Wayne Willentz in Washington DC. He has also studied voice under Argentine opera singer, Cecilia Arellano.
He began playing vintage jazz piano during his graduate studies at Oxford, hosting regular shows at Freud's Cafe and The Randolph, the city's iconic luxury hotel. In Washington DC, he has played regularly at Georgetown Piano Bar, The Saloon, Code Red Speakeasy, The Saloon on U Street, and Sta ... ccato. His repertoire ranges from Sinatra, Ray Charles and Louis Prima to Hank Williams and Otis Spann, a mix of vintage lounge and ol' school blues.
Sullivan's music has been profiled on WNYU, the iconic indie radio of New York University. His first album, produced with Tiger Lilies sound engineer Claus Buehler, was awarded NextWave Artist of the Month by the music video show, Strictly Global.
