Description
2Shay is a fun and versatile mainstream duo formed in 2013 when Leona Deshay and Randall Hoepfer got married in Maui.
Leona is a native of Las Vegas who has been a professional singer since 1997. She has worked on and off the Las Vegas strip (including a house gig at the MGM for nearly 4 years), casinos and various venues/events along the West Coast, as well as dozens of major Cruise Ship contracts. Her large and varied repertoire combined with her multifaceted voice and strong stage presence make Leona a uniquely engaging entertainer.
Randall is a multi-instrumental musician who hasn’t ha
... d a “day job” since the ‘80s. He has worked all across the United States (including many house gigs in remote towns of Alaska), Canada, hotels/casinos, local watering holes and events, Army bases in South Korea, and dozens of major Cruise Ship contracts. He is just as comfortable playing acoustic or electric guitar as he is playing bass guitar, drums, keyboards or piano. All backing tracks used by 2Shay are created by Randall with loving care.
Together, 2Shay plays a wide array of music that has entertained an even wider array of crowds. Married on January 26 of 2013, they began playing Las Vegas country clubs and off-the-Strip venues before being recruited in June of 2014 to play in Anchorage, Alaska for 9 months. They returned to Las Vegas and began playing weekly at The Linq Las Vegas on the Strip.
In August 2015 they were invited to work on the Norwegian Star, cruising the Baltic Sea and crossing the Atlantic Ocean. In March 2016 they joined the Norwegian Pearl and sailed through the Panama Canal to spend the Summer of ’16 in the ports of Alaska. They returned home to Las Vegas in October 2016 and continued working The Linq Las Vegas.
In January 2017, 2Shay was given the opportunity to work with Carnival Cruise Lines as Guest Entertainers/Fly-On Duo for an amazing month in Australia. For the next 2 years, they continued to work with Carnival on-call, filling in for a few weeks at a time during emergency situations. During that time, they were able to work on more than a dozen different ships within the fleet while still being home in Las Vegas every few weeks. Now that the world is reopening and ships are sailing again, 2Shay is looking forward to their next adventures! So much better when we do it together!
