Biography

Born in Minsk, Belarus, Anastasiya started her first classical guitar lessons at the age of 13 with Alexander Puchkov and continued her studies with Jeanne Pistorius after moving to UK, Oxfordshire. There Anastasiya has participated in various musical festivals, including Oxford Music Festival, Wantage Music Festival and Abingdon Music Festival, where she has gained a first prize.
She has gained a Bachelor of Music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with John Mills and Graham Devine.
She took part and gained a lot of experience in many master classes with some of the most well re ... nowned guitarists, such as Gerald Garcia, Mark Ashford, Eleftheria Kotzia, Kai Nieminen, Sven Lundestadt, Julian Byzantine, Heiki Matlik, Natalia Lipnitskaya, and Xyefei Yang. In her first year at college she formed a guitar duo with Malaysian guitarist Hong Chu Tee and more recently another duo with the Greek pianist Maria Kompoti. She won the John Mills Prize both in 2012 and 2013 and also gained the first prize at Abergavenny Music Festival in 2013.
Recently Anastasiya started playing Baroque instruments, including the Baroque guitar, arch lute and theorbo. In 2013 she performed on the arch lute with the Brecon Baroque Orchestra led by Rachel Podger at the Brecon Baroque Festival. That same year Anastasiya gained the ABRSM diploma qualification in classical guitar teaching following two years of experience as a private tutor in the Cardiff area.
Anastasiya is performing frequently around South Wales, most recently in The National Museum, South Wales Guitar Society, Swansea Guitar Society, Gabalfa Hospital and the Nazareth House Guitar Series. She is continuing to promote Cardiff Guitar Series which was founded by Fernando Aguera in 2012.
